Entry Visa

ECOWAS nationals do not require a visa, but still need a passport with a 6-month validity.

Any foreigners wanting to attend a conference in Nigeria  require a Business-Single Entry Visa on arrival. Visa requirements and application are available on the Nigeria Immigration Service page.

We recommend applying for visas 1 month before the event. We will share an invitation letter with confirmed participants.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation at their own cost.

Participants can book rooms directly with Bon Hotel Octagon at Mention the event "Open Source in Energy Access by WRI , EnAccess & World Bank"  to  receive a discounted rate of $75 per night for a superior room with breakfast included.

The easiest way to get around is to order an Uber or Bolt. You can also make arrangements with your hotel for transportation to and from your hotel.

Health & COVID-19

Travelers do not require to present any documentation related to COVID-19 vaccination/testing.

A simplified Health Declaration (non-covid-19 specific) shall be completed by all passengers arriving in Nigeria on the Nigeria Ministry of Health portal, while provision will be made on arrival for those who were unable to complete this form before departure.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required by travelers over one year of age arriving within six days from infected areas. Travelers arriving from non-endemic zones should note that vaccination is strongly recommended for travel outside the urban areas, even if an outbreak of the disease has not been reported and they would normally not require a vaccination certificate to enter the country.
